My profile

“Helping my clients gain control of their finances so that they can concentrate on living the life they want to live.”

I joined the financial services profession in 2013, more through the monotony of my existing office job and wanting a change of pace. Since stepping into my current role, I’ve found great fulfilment in helping people gain a better understanding of their finances. Whether it’s guiding them toward the life they envision or providing reassurance that they can maintain their current lifestyle with confidence, I truly enjoy making a positive impact.

Financial planning is about creating a future where you feel secure, empowered, and free to pursue your aspirations without financial stress.

I can help with:

  • Business solutions
  • Financial planning
  • Inheritance tax and estate planning
  • Investments
  • Protection
  • Retirement planning
  • Approaching retirement planning
  • Post-retirement planning
  • Saving for your retirement
  • Saving & investments
  • Trust & estate planning

Every client’s financial journey is unique, which is why I take a highly personalised approach. I look at what is important to you and how life will likely look in the short, medium, and longer term.

Once we establish your priorities and aspirations, I can then look at what assets you have and develop a tailored strategy designed to help you achieve the life you want.

Whether you are looking to retire early, provide for your family, or simply gain better control over your financial future, I ensure you have a clear and achievable roadmap to get there.

I help you understand if you have enough money to do what you want and see how far the boundaries can be pushed for your plans.

As a Chartered Financial Planner, I provide expert advice across a range of areas, including:

  • Tax-efficient investing – Helping you grow and protect your wealth in the most tax-effective way.
  • Retirement planning – Ensuring you can enjoy financial security in later life, with a plan tailored to your ideal retirement.
  • Inheritance tax planning – Assisting you in structuring your estate to ensure your loved ones benefit as much as possible.
  • Comprehensive financial planning – From wealth management to cash flow forecasting, I help you navigate all aspects of financial decision-making.

Ultimately, what I care about most is that I help you to both understand and utilise your finances in the most suitable way for your circumstances, for the things that are most important to you. Allowing you to live the life you want to live with peace of mind over your finances.

I help provide peace of mind by giving you clarity and confidence in your financial decisions. My goal is to empower you with the knowledge and strategies to make informed choices—whether that means securing your future, achieving your dreams, or simply maintaining the lifestyle you love.

By working together, you will gain:

  • Clarity – A clear understanding of where you stand financially and how to achieve your aspirations.
  • Confidence – Reassurance that you are making well-informed financial decisions.
  • Security – A structured plan that ensures your wealth is working for you and your loved ones.
  • Freedom – The ability to focus on living your best life, without financial uncertainty holding you back.

No matter where you are on your financial journey, my goal is to empower you with the knowledge and strategies to create the future you envision—one where you feel secure, confident, and in control.

“We saw David Hulland for a review of my husband’s future pension. He went to a lot of trouble to explain things to us, even using hand-drawn diagrams and graphs to help us understand the complexities of pension funds. His advice was to leave things as they were. My husband was not charged for this very helpful and informative 45-minute appointment.”

“Excellent impartial advice and next-level way of thinking to allow calculated decision. No pressure just education on a way of thinking then you make the choices to suit your own needs. Very professional and sound advice that allowed us to retire very comfortably two to three years before I thought I possibly could – thank you!”

Outside of work, I like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

A pension is a long term investment. The fund value may fluctuate and can go down, which would have an impact on the level of pension benefits available. Pension income could also be affected by interest rates at the time benefits are taken.

The tax treatment of pensions in general and tax implications of pension withdrawals will be based on individual circumstances, tax legislation and regulation, which are subject to change in the future.

When investing your capital is at risk. The value of your investment can go down as well as up and you may not get back the full amount invested.
